Every Sunday, a group of us sign up at the Nuthouse Scribblers blog and post a sexy snippet: 7 sentences from a work in progress. Here’s mine for the week from, again from  Lily and the Mechanic with a working title of LILY.

 

His lips were full and lush and this was where she instinctively knew she should stop but how did you stop when there was a twist of a smile at one corner?

“Perhaps Madam would be tempted with double the price?”

Ha, ridiculous, he could see she didn’t need the money; she lifted her chin to tell him but when he smiled with rakish charm something inside her lost its hold. No coherent response presented itself and her body assailed her with hot rushes of sensation and riotous impulses that made the fireworks at Vauxhall passé.

Alarmingly, all her crevices woke up; as if someone had taken a torch of gleaming light and walked the narrow avenues of long forgotten emotions, hopes and feelings, rousing them from a slumber best left undisturbed.

There really was nothing for it but to continue her journey upwards and hope that she had passed the worst and her body would survive the shocking and unexpected awakening.

The section between his lip and nose was fleshy and long, his nose was straight and strangely aristocratic and above it, on either side, were the darkest of eyebrows which were arched in question over her absolute downfall.
