#SexySnippets 12th October 2014
Every weekend, a group of us sign up at The Nuthouse Scribblers blog and post a sexy snippet: 7 sentences from a work in progress. Here’s mine for the week again from Lily and the Mechanic.
It’s a historical novella set in London 1898.
He used his body weight to keep her against the wall as he lowered her legs and waited for her to get her footing.
They stood there like that, her breath and his laboring in the small space between them. Her cheeks were flushed pink and there was dampness at the hairline, her veil was in tatters across her face; she was the most extraordinary woman he’d ever met.
Except he hadn’t really met her had he?
She had no idea who he was and he knew all about her.
He brought his hand to her face, stretched out his thumb and let it run over her lips . “Your veil is torn.”

She revealed two sides of her personality it seems to me. Nicely done.
A remarkable scene in how much is left unsaid but imagined. Awesome eight!
