It has turned out to be almost impossible to give accurate release dates and timelines.
Some of it is my other lives are often demanding and urgent. Some of it is simply the creative process itself where the writing muse will simply close the door and tell me to go away when I head in a direction she is not interested in focusing on at that moment.
I hope then, you will forgive the delays in books I know you are eager to read as I am equally eager to deliver. They are all alive, they are all loved and each in their own time maturing in their cocoons ready for the time when it is their turn to be released into the world and fly.
Despite all I have said above I have added working ETA’s. I will stop by and update this page with updates for those of you interested in where ‘that’ book is at you are waiting for.
PLANNED RELEASES AS OF 14 Jan 2022
2022 August PAINTED STRENGTH
2023 FEB Book 3 RUSSIAN HEARTS: BEGUILED
The two books most delayed are The Fur Heart and Painted Strength. I have been working on these stories off and on, and the ongoing delay is by no means that I don’t absolutely adore them but that life and a few opportunities to write with other writers has lovingly placed them on hold – Christmas Anthologies breathing life into RUSSIAN HEARTS 2019, 2020 and I hope 2021 & Writers not Waiters, my writing group anthology, SECRETS, which is sponsored by Romance Writers Australia and showcases the first of the PIRATES OF PLEASURE Duet.
I personally think that in both my delayed books: The Fur Heart and Painted Strength, I have subconsciously set myself a task that I am not yet able to deliver – skill wise. They are brewing down in the deep and asking me to evolve, to get better at bringing worlds and people to life.
Lady Philippa Bancroft was not beautiful. The term ‘horsey’ in all its unkindness could easily apply to her until she had started to sit for paintings… ‘in the nude’. Her angular face worked to perfection with long her squared limbs and breast so full and round they made a man’s mouth water. People looked at her differently after her painting as scandalously displayed as part of a curated open house event, woman sent her sidelong glances as if she was a ‘femme fatale’, and men looked at her with eyes that said they knew what was under her ballgown and they heatedly approved. And yet no offers of marriage were forth coming. It seemed men wanted pretty children and she wasn’t getting any younger.
Prince Alexi Ulyanov was something else altogether. His eyes burned into her from across a room. He stood too close and gazed too long and then he’d bought every nude of her on the market. When she had brazenly sat for another he’d turned up at the sitting and started a painting of his own.
Currently writing…. it’s dark, it’s desperate, it’s raw. Lila has run off to the circus hiding in plain sight from a killer. The trouble is each day she gets up on the high wire she’s not sure she want to live to come down…until ‘The Baron’.
She is undisciplined, regularly intoxicated and always unmanageable… he should leave her to her fate but….for a reason he doesn’t look at too closely, he takes. Her on. There is only one way he knows how to help her and that is to tame her using the principles of lion taming.
