Elsa Holland

Historical Romance Writer: LUSH SENSUAL READS

It’s not the words that capture me in this song, it’s the melancholy mood. The rhythm of it feels like they are dragged right out of the chest. The sound of heartache or resigned grief.

In writing I need to find moods, something I can slip into, really lay in them like sinking my head under the water in a bath. The task is to then try and express that mood in language well enough that just by reading the words you are immersed in that mood as well.

I agree, Elsa. This piece of music imparts a melacholy mood extremely well. The sound is quite hauntingly beautiful. I hope you create something wonderful whilst/after listening to it.
